I agree.

The stock 10-hole wheels are way too, 2-dimentional,

too flat.

The Ravines bring-in that much needed - 'depth'.

That is the best way I have heard these described.

They look great as does the rest of your truck!

Old post - a way to get rid of the rusty 2WD dust cap on your front Ravine wheels:

"There's another way if you don't want change knuckles (I didn't). You can't buy the OEM caps anymore, and there are no low profile caps; they will all stick through the hole somewhat. One solution I found is to use Mr. Gasket Chrome Dust Caps. They are just a tiny bit small, but you can cut a strip of aluminum from a beer can and fold it  around the inner lip of the hub for a shim and they will tap in firmly and stay forever.

They look better than the original dust caps sticking through the hole.

Ah damnit, I forgot to mention those. Mine still look good after more than a year! Just make sure you make your ship thick enough that you have to pound the caps in. If you hit a bump and hear a faint "dink-dink-dinkadinkadinka" sound coming from outside you didn't make your shim big enough

Yea thanks H,

I grabbed that post too, from Minuit's thread where he did the same thing and gave credit to,

as I kinda  recall - 'a chrome freak' maybe???, or some words to that effect. All meant, in a nice way, of course.

I don't quite recall the exact words but I thought about the photo above - instantly.

Thanks again, I ordered a pair, earlier today.

Thanks.

No worries,

I considered ordering two(2)sets originally, but then I re-set the bar

and convinced myself to get-em-done-right, the first time.

Trying to remove the Retainers of the Lower Belt Trim Panels.

I don't want to remove the wrong way or break/crack anything.:brickwall:

Is there an easy way to remove these Retainers ?

It does say:

"Detach the retainer with a tool or carefully pull the panel and

screws out of the cab sheet metal." ???

Would that be a tool like the one used to remove door panels ?

Thanks

One of the License Lamp Lens was cracked and

the connector socket was broken.

Ordered one to see if I could make it work.

Came in today(Amazon).

Looks like a (close-enough), direct replacement. :applause:

Came across some Black Lug Nuts on ebay.

Humm... :shhh:

Wanted to see how they would work with the

Raised White Letters on the inside and the

front Dust Caps and the rear Center Caps,

painted black.

~

Photoshop changed it up a bit,

to more

of a - ying-yang-ish look.

Which I like :

Got one more item to go on the BOM,

in order to finish putting together the

longer LSV rod.

The threaded-rod is 1ft long so I will be

cutting it down when I install the lock-nuts.

The panels were held in-place by 'retainers'

which are the ribbed press-on interior screws.
