Anybody ever really spend a lot of time looking at the wiring diagrams in the FSMs?

Ever get the feeling that you're either retarded, or there's a lot of mis-prints in the diagrams?

It's pretty convoluted.

But I think I've got it figured. I'm so god damn cheap. I can re-use the stock gauges without the cluster now. I know, who wants stock gauges? Well, they're cheap...

the stock XJ/MJ gauge cluster is perfect man, what else do you need? maybe an amperage meter and tranny temp added somewhere but you run a standard so jamminz.gif stock gauges jamminz.gif

accuracy is subjective. as long as you know where it's at normally, you can at least be aware of a potential problem, and then investigate it further.

my voltmeter reads 11 volts, but the alt puts out near 14.

when the voltmeter drops to 9, I know that somethings up.

not accurate, but better than a dummy light.

The electrical troubleshooting manual is very nice. I've never had a single problem figuring it out. But I am a tech geek at heart.
