Nice truck. Anyone know what the red thing around the steering column is? The only thing I could think of is some sort of ridiculously large security device.

Yah, that's an old school anti-theft collar. Haven't seen one like that in years.

A buddy of mine still uses them. Keeps people from busting up the column to start the truck. It also locks the shifter if it is an auto on the column.
