Take a trip to any of the pick n pull yards in the Metroplex area.  They should have a decent selection of Jeep Cherokees you can get the window regulator from.

Here is the address of the one in Ft. Worth.

Pick-n-Pull - Fort Worth

5806 Elliott Reeder Road, Fort Worth, TX 76117

The manual regulator will cost you about $18 and you can learn how to correctly remove and reinstall it at the same time.

Manual regulators are tough to find, and I don't think anyone makes new ones.

If you have a dead spot in yours, it's usually towards the bottom of travel (with the window most of the way down) because the "drive coil" rust/rots at the bottom of the door, and the drive gear can't engage it anymore.

The GOOD news is you can take the whole assembly out, and reverse the drive coil so the rust/rotted part is up by the glass, and doesn't need to engage the gear.

I did one of mine 3 or 4 months ago (sorry no pictures).

Should take an hour or two the first time.

The only thing you need is a 1/4" drill bit to drill out the rivets (securing the unit to the door),

some decent pliers to pry apart the window attachment bracket at the end of the drive coil off, and then reattach it to the opposite end,

(after you slide out the coil and reverse it)

and some 1/4-20 nuts and bolts to bolt the unit back into the door.
