gogmorgo
You can pull the whole buzzer right out of the fuse block without causing problems if you really want it gone.
Eagle
You can pull the whole buzzer right out of the fuse block without causing problems if you really want it gone. It may already be gone. The circuit is normally closed, IIRC, and it relies on inserting the seatbelt tab into the buckle to make a connection that shuts off the buzzer. On my '88 Cherokee, after many thousands of miles the driver's side seat belt broke -- the little spring inside the buckle failed, and the tab would no longer stay latched. I replaced it with the one from the center rear, but that didn't have the electrical connection. I remember clipping the connector off the original buckle end and splicing the wires together to make a closed circuit, and then plugging that into the pigtail under the seat. HOrnbrod
The below is what the seat belt warning module looks like. It's not the chime module on the fuse block. Ruxus
Thx hornbrod, could not find any of those buzzers. Prob removed by PO. Really don't want the seatbelt buzzer, but the headlight one would be good to have. Anyone know if you can buy one?
HOrnbrod
Mopar p/n 56001076. They pop up on Ebay sometimes. It's the blue module you want, not the black one. The blue module has the headlights on alarm.
