I have no air movement in any position of the dial and I have 12v at the blower motor. I got a new resistor just to rule it out, not the problem. Anyone have a part no. for the blower switch with A/C? Thank you.

Are you saying the blower motor doesn't come on but you have 12V at it's connector? If so, pull the connector and check the ground wire for continunity. If good, then hot-wire it to test the motor.

Definitely test the motor. One of my XJs I ran the fan right to the battery the first winter.

The motor burned out and took the switch in the dash with it. Melted it pretty good. Far as I know there is no part number just for the blower switch, I had to get the assembly from a junk yard.

I'll be glad to be wrong, that's not the switch that burned out, or not what mine looked like. Of course it may be part of the early model xj curse. And it's been decades since I hunted for that part.

This is not exact but mine burned out the bigger plugs. And I may have my definitions wrong.

If there's 12 volts at the connector, the switch isn't bad. More than likely the brushes in the blower motor have worn out and it needs a replacement motor.

I tried best as I could to get 12v to the fan and I got nothing out of it. I have a new motor ordered and my weekend will be busy with fixes. Hopefully I can get it running good now.

Pulled the blower motor and got the squirrel cage off fairly easy. That thing was just about locked up, very hard to spin by hand. Put the cage back on the new motor and unfortunately had to test it in the dark. Only tried it on low speed but it ran. I will get it installed tomorrow and check that one off the list. Thank you for the help everyone.
