johnj92131 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Any tips on how to post a video? Any one picture host better than imguir? Thanks
Skorpyo Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I'm a fan of google. If you have a google account you get google drive and then you can upload and make public videos and folders and then link them elsewhere. They have a photos service too I think, but I've always just used their drive and share option. Dropbox works too, but I'm pretty well invested in google so I just use that. Best of luck!
Automan2164 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 To post a video here? Upload it to youtube, then just drop the url in, and the forum does the rest. Rob
johnj92131 Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Automan, Drop the url in where? When I drop the url in on the picture icon, I get a message that this file extension is not supported. https://youtu.be/Gkyb3PRWwbk
gogmorgo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Google sucks for posting images here. I imagine it'll be the same with video. They don't give you a proper URL for the image so you can't embed it here. In my mind Imgur.com is one of the better hosts out there, but realistically anything will work. Other members here had success using photobucket, but it's just been a headache any time I've wanted to use it and I'm not alone in that. I've used Facebook as well, but they have a nasty habit of changing their image urls every so often. As far as posting videos goes, if it's a YouTube video (or if you upload it there, it's free), just copy the URL and paste it directly into the post box, no fancy stuff necessary.
HOrnbrod Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This it? If so, this is the format you need to use w/o the quotes. Just paste it in as text. " "
Automan2164 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 You don't have to put the url in a picture. Just copy and paste it into the post. Rob
Automan2164 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Be sure to have the little lightswitch in the "on" position in the top left corner of the text box. Rob
johnj92131 Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Be sure to have the little lightswitch in the "on" position in the top left corner of the text box. Rob Rob, I think I have it set right. Please take a look at the bottom of post #2 in this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/52550-86-diesel-mj-to-vw-tdi-conversion/ Let me know if you see the video in Don's post. Thanks,
