Load Sensing Valve, Do I Need To Bleed After Putting It Back In Right Position?

Recommended Posts

Looks like when the PO either had tires or shocks installed, the truck was jacked up by the frame and the Load Sensing Valve ended up in this position.

Do I have to re-bleed the brakes after making it right?

Thanks,

Rick

Just wanted to chime in that bolting up the LSV that way is a very common and easy mistake to make. Someone probably changed the gear oil (or unbolted it from the diff cover for some other reason) and didn't pay attention to how it went back. You'll probably notice a serious improvement to your braking, since having it in that position pretty much turns your rear brakes off completely.

The rod that goes to the arm was missing on mine. Found a perfect replacement from a commercial air damper. These should be available at any large AC contractor. The replacement is 1./4-20 USS not metric. The metric hole on the axle can be tapped to fit or drilled. Brakes work so much better!
