psifanboy Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Hello I'm slowly gathering parts for my mj build. I have a complete 99 xj harness and dash and steering wheel and front end. I have 2 renix engines, 1 97 ho with lots of blow by with 2wd aw4 and 1 88 aw4 from xj. Trying to figure out how to do this with what i got. Thinking about swapping the HO head and intake onto the 1 renix block that was just rebuild and running the 88 aw4 trans behind it with a stand alone tcm with RADesign shifter. Just not sure if all this willl work togther easily. Id like to get the aw4 swapped in it now with current renix set up and see if it works but here in next few months id like to swap dash and everything in. Let me know what u guys think .
sinkrun Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 A upgrade to a newer style valve cover with full baffle will fix most likely fix the blow by issue should be a write up on here somewhere. Its a cheap easy fix.

dustyinthedirt Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I def interested in this. Does the heads match up? Water jackets and all? I am wanting to replace the motor in one of my mjs as the block is cracked. i am having a hard time finding a renix era block.
