fire797
I have a 89 MJ. I am a journeymen electrician. I have a good working knowledge of electrical system. I have downloaded the wiring diagram from the link I got on this website. It is for a 1988 MJ. It shows the radio being powered by the ETR fuse (constant 12v) and the wire label is red/tan. My fuse block has a label of ANT were the ETR fuse should be. The wire I have in the harness to the radio (constant 12v) is just red and it goes back to the dome light fuse. So is my harness for a 1989 MJ or has it been replaced with a different year and what year do you think it is?????????
DirtyComanche
88 and 89 have some major wiring differences. If you want I can look at my 89 FSM to tell you if that matches it, but I'm thinking it does.
HOrnbrod
Not only 88 and 89, but they all have differences in wiring, especially wire color. Suggest you invest in a factory electrical manual specific to your vehicle. It'll pay for itself many times over down the road.
mikekaz1
I know on my 91, the dome fuse and the radio fuse are inline with each other and functions swap back and fourth between these two. What's your issue?
