caseyrstewart
In a constant effort to learn what different parts of my Jeep do, I got under the hood today and found these two hoses completely disconnected. They both run to the top of my transmission (one on the passenger side, one on driver). There's a bracket attached and it comes up right at the back of the engine. Can't tell you much more than that. Thoughts?

Any particular bolt? Do those hoses need to connect to anything or does the trans exhaust just breath under the hood?
gogmorgo
It's not "exhaust" so much. It just lets air in and out as it expands and contracts when the trans and tcase heat up and cool down. Running them up that high prevents water from getting in, allowing greater fording depth.

I'll mount it as high as I can then. Thanks!
