opinions on 2015 durango?

my folks are looking to get a new vehicle to go with their new camper (2600#).  Originally it was going to be a 2016 Chrysler minivan to replace the current one (2010 w/100k miles), but we are having great difficulty finding one with the factory tow package.  they will be pushing the limit of a van's towing abilities (3500#) and I'm uncomfortable with just slapping a hitch on a regular minivan.  while at the dealership today I spotted a durango and after we looked at it, it might just fit their needs (doesn't carry as much stuff or people, but we do have access to a 10' box trailer if they need to pick up a couch or plywood/drywall).  I found a 2015 durango with the factory tow package and was looking for opinions before we venture over to check it out.  I remember reading that the early years of the 3.6l has some teething issues, but they should have ironed that out by 2015, yes?

I know that motor had head issues that had to do with the lifters and valves? I may be misinformed. But my father had the recall on his 2012 jk. They replaced the heads free of charge under warranty. My sister has a 2015 Rubicon and I know the problems were corrected before hers was built.

Any update on this? The  new Durango is a really good looking truck. It is basically an extended WK2 Grand Cherokee platform to make room for a third row of seats. Yes the 3.6 head issues were fixed by then as stated. We haven't seen any out of the ordinary issues with them, and I wouldn't mind having one myself.
