90comancheswb Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Swapping a 92 xj obd1 wiring harness into 90 Comanche 4.0. Engine turns over fuel pump engages but no power to coil, distributor, crank sensor. Power to all fuses, relays in fuse box. It was an auto xj bypassed the Nss. Any suggestions?
gogmorgo Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 What all have you swapped? The OBD1 harness is incompatible with most of the Renix sensors, ECU, etc.
90comancheswb Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Everything from the 92 Cherokee. Intake, Ecm all accessories. All remix stuff now in the bed of the truck
90comancheswb Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 I purchased a 92 xj and pulled everything from the dash to the headlights, replaced the engine with a completely rebuilt 98 4.0.
90comancheswb Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 Still not starting, but when messing with the plug on ecm had interment power to auxiliary fan. Still no power to coil.
HOrnbrod Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Check for any recessed or bent pins on the 60-pin ECU connector. Also, what did you do about the firewall connector? Use the 92's with the 92 dash harness?
90comancheswb Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Did a visual check on the pins and everything looked ok. 92 bulkhead connector and dash harness as well as dash. Will do a closer inspection on ecu connector today. Thanks for the help
