Dankine Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hi guys ! Need new tail lights I'm at working on my bed, my factory tail lights looks bad, cracks etc etc. I did not find any writeup for an easy swap, I know now, there is none :( What would be the easiest swap possible doing minimum metal work ? Tail lights from an early Chevy S10, late XJ, ??? I would like Something that looks like factory. Thank's Dan
jimoshel Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Why don't you use a Comanche tail lite lense? They're still around. I've seen them advertised for $30 to a $100 for a set.
91Pioneer Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Just use Comanche tails, everything else looks like $#!&.
gogmorgo Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 One member from Europe used Dakota taillights, I don't think they took too much work. But they definitely looked out of place, although maybe not so much to someone who didn't know what they were looking at. But I also recommend the MJ taillights. They aren't as difficult to find as you'd think. Several members here have quite the collection of them and there's a slim chance some may be willing to part with a set.
mikekaz1 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 id just search for a set on MJ lenses.... but rustys does make steel housing replacements http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-metal-tail-light-housings-pair-mj-commanche.html otherwise I would metal work late model XJ since they are plentiful and still jeep
