Black89Comanche Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 well we finally got the jeep to a mechanic and he said that the fuel pump was the problem. Apparently when I bought a brand new one it was already bad so now i am never going to buy advanced auto brand stuff.
Black89Comanche Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 That is the very one. I will only be buying brand items.
Black89Comanche Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 The Bosch fuel pump did not work... according to the mechanic
HOrnbrod Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Bad ground or relay, open harness, etc. Lot's of things can cause the pump not to run. Ask your "mechanic" if he tried to hot-wire it at the fuel tank connector and see if it runs.
Black89Comanche Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 will do he can't do any more work until he gets it off his lift. so he is kinda stuck with my jeep.
Black89Comanche Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 The jeep is good and running.
Black89Comanche Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 the fuel pump was bad from the day i bought it and the crank position sensor was bad.
Black89Comanche Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 what is a good radio to get for the jeeps?
ParadiseMJ Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 One that doesn't use cassettes, like mine. crutchfield.com Great service, lots of choices. Full kits, easy install
Marine1Texas Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 in my jeep I use a Sony mp3 fm/am radio I got from Frys for 60 bucks. it is much shorter because no cd or cassette, has a higher peak power, 300 watts between 4 speakers. It has a usb2.0/3.0 plug in on the front, where I put a 16gb USB with wma's, and mp3's. I have about 200 songs on it. works great for me, because it will not skip and no need to ever switch anything out.
Black89Comanche Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 Okay so the jeep Comanche's engine is going to blow up here soon. or so I am told.....there is oil spraying out from the dipstick. so does anyone know if this is true or not but I was told that since there was oil spraying out of the dipstick that the engine is border line blown up. Any and all responses would be appeared.
HOrnbrod Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Possible causes: CCV system clogged, crankcase over filled, rings gone on a piston or leaking valve guides. Might need to do a compression and leakdown test.
Black89Comanche Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 okay thanks. I mean the truck runs great it just sprays out oil
HOrnbrod Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 That's like saying it runs great but just catches fire once in awhile. :rotfl2:
