So I'm trying to do a blink test on my 90 comanche and I don't have a engine light so I'm wondering what light will it blink from and what is the procedure

You don't have obd1, you have a renix system.

That's pre obd1.

Checking for fauly codes by using the ignition switch and counting lamp pulses is only for 1991-1995 OBD1 vehicle. Your 90 is a Renix system, not OBD1.

Snap On made a scanner - MT2500.  It only reads real time.  There are not stored codes.  You will need the correct make and year cartridges plus the appropriate cables.
