ownedueasy Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 ok was doing a 4x4 swap/lift(5ish-6inches) at the same time on my 92 mj, and after the front end is under it i don't have all my steering radius i use to have for some reason. all my steering components are stock 2wd. was wondering what pitman arm i needed to fix this problem? and my trasnfercae came out of a yj, the speedo plugin isnt the same, and the transfercase won't shift, ive pried on the linkage(at the back) beat on it wiggled it and it won't move? any help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!! Eagle Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 There is no difference between 2WD steering and 4WD steering. The pitman arm is the same. As to the transfer case, what are you using for a shift linkage? The YJ linkage is very different from the XJ/MJ linkage and works in the reverse direction. I also put adjustable loweres on my truck. And eagle would I need a pitman arm with that much lift? I'm using a xj bracket and shifter/linkage. Get this for your shift linkage. 100% better then anything stock. Much cheaper then the novak kit as well and it works just as good, if not better. http://www.boostwerksengineering.com/231-HD-Shift-Linkage-Manual-Trans-_p_29.html they have a different one for an auto tranny if thats what you have. The steering stops might be adjusted different on the new 4x4 axle also. Is the shift arm on the xfer case on the right way and not upside down?
