coheed
Usually not a fan of clear lights, but I'm very intrigued as to the outcome on these. As far as staying legal could you not run red LEDs? There are plenty of people around here running clear lights with corresponding color LEDs in their lights and don't seem to have legal issues. mikekaz1
Yeah you would just use red bulbs. And Ram/Dakota lens are shaped completely differently. You would not be able to use them.
mikekaz1
These won't ever be perfect, id give them the 20/20. Good from 20ft or 20mph. As you'll obviously never perfectly mimic the original lens as those are molded together and this would just be under it. So there is a deeper lip around the light vs edge compared to stock. And working around the exposed screw holes has proven a little complex and not too user friendly

Mj4life
If you do that for side work and decide to do it for others let me know. I'll send you my tail lights and have you do them while I am away at bootcamp.
A-man930
Do you have a photo of the back side of the lens? Is it flat in there to allow the ribs on the out side to be shaved off leaving a smooth surface? I had hoped to do this but yea no go.
