well guys I picked this up about 3 weeks ago I picked up this 1991 jeep Comanche eliminator. high output 4.0, auto 4x4. I bought it because I needed a daily and these thing are just cool! its the first jeep I've owned but I'm not new to them. my dad had a 93 xj when I was growing up and my girlfriend has always had jeeps, and I have a buddy who has  3 xj's. Anyway I found this one in NC and as far as I can tell its never really been messed with. the guy I bought it off of was the second owner and pulled it behind a camper. a/c works, cruise, works, interior is in really good shape and it runs like a champ. I have had a few minor problems. reverse lights would work some of the time but I cleaned the nss and its all good and my headlight switch basically almost melted but thats fixed now too. so far I'm really happy with it. I want to mod it so bad right now its not even funny but I have a my C10 that I have to finish first so for now its just gonna get driven as is. what do you guys think?

Back to the jeep overall its a solid truck basically no rust other than the rockers. I fixed the one side but the other will need some attention. my plans for it are gonna be broken down in stages and basically done on a budget. like I said before I'm basically just gonna drive it until I get the C10 finished but once that's done I'm gonna move on to phase one which what I'm thinking is gonna be a 3 inch lift, stock jeep wheels and maybe some 31's. basically make it like this truck

Phase 2 will be front end conversion, new wheels and paint, maybe bumpers

Phase 3 tbd

this is the rocker I fixed. Ive bed lined the rockers and flares now and it looks okay. I think I like the painted look better but didnt want to paint them right now. I also put new map lights in. I think for now all I have left to do is change the radio and get new speaker and this thing will be the perfect daily for awhile. Ill post more pictures later

thank you! the silver truck was my first car. it was a $600 POS and we turned it in to what you see in the picture. Then the ballancer came apart on it and put a whole in the hood and dented up the fender and well just painting the hood and fender turned into another frame off resto. I just need to get it done. I'm itching to work on the jeep

:dunno: 3.5"-4"? I don't think I've ever really measured it. I think the springs in the front of mine are old Skyjacker coils, but I got them used so who knows. I also have two spring insulators in there too because of when I had a heavy park bench of a front bumper hanging off of it. Now that it's gone, I'd really like to take one of them so it'll bring it down a half inch or so. The rears are aftermarket Metric Ton leafs along with a taller shackle.

well it looks good! I think I'll probably just go with a 3 inch and maybe run 31's or 30's. as of now I'm just trying to get all the little bugs worked out. my headlights are acting up again and I need to get a some sort of radio and speakers in there because I only have one speaker that works and the factory radio randomly cuts off
