Jeepjeff859
So I am on my 4th attempt at getting my transmission in.... as soon as I get the input shaft in to the clutch it won't go into the pilot bearing, I have tried wiggling it as much as I can but it won't go in any more, any tips or tricks? Megadan
You've gotta get the angle of the dangle just right for the input shaft to slide into the pilot bushing/bearing. I actually had a harder time getting the dowels for the bellhousing to line up correctly. Are you sure that isn't your problem?
Jackrabbit41
Make sure those doules that hold on the dust cover are in the motor not the Tranny. For some reason when I was doing my swap it wouldn't go all the way in unless the doules were in the motor holes
87MJTIM
I've had to lower the trans and loosen the pressure plate several times to make sure the input shaft will line up. My suggestion for you is to check the alignment of the pressure plate before you tighten the bolts on it  . I have had to undo them to get things to line up correctly.
