Jackrabbit41 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I had he same problem with the bearing kpuller but I just took my grinder to it and made it smaller so it fit in the hole but then I couldn't return it but it was only like 12$
Jackrabbit41 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Also, I haven't done it yet but is the linkage a direct swap over? I have everything else done but I didn't have time to put in the linkage

That means removing the driver's seat (bucket).
Jackrabbit41 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Ya I have both linkages out but just need to put it back on
64 Cheyenne Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 FWIW, I always remove the CPS before I remove or install a tranny. This insures the CPS will not get damaged from the flywheel during the swap.
HOrnbrod Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 How come the new bushing looks a bit beat up?

I had to use an old sparkplug socket to drive it it.
87MJTIM Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 After some fiddling with final parts (like the tcase vent tube  ) I've got it all back together. I drove it around the block to test it out. The clutch feels great. Nice and firm. The shifting is stiffer than the BA, but has a much shorter throw.
