SBpunk Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I know this is probably a stupid question that's been asked a few times but has anyone cut and rewelded the rear shackles to fit XJ springs? In my head it makes sense since there are way more leaf spring options.
Pete M Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 that's quite a lot of sheetmetal work just to avoid a little bit of money. :dunno: remember, it's not like we are completely devoid of both stock and lifted options. they simply cost a little more than other rigs' parts because our trucks are rarer and the market share is smaller.
mikekaz1 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I got the hell creek metric ton pack. And couldn't be happier. I've hauled a full load of cord wood and multiple 3/4 loads of gravel and its handled it like a dream boat. Worth the money for the simplicity for me.

I'm sure that is a great pack but the HC MT pack is a stock height spring, correct? I believe the OP, and me vicariously through him, is looking for a 1-2" lift over stock at a lower price. I know the GS MT spring pack is a little higher than stock but this GW pack is about $150 less... if it works.

I measured my ride height (axle to frame) as about 11.5" currently. and I believe factory 2wd was around 7"
