jimoshel
I have no experience with them but they certainly look like they can get the job done.
Megadan
I was actually considering these as a replacement for my horrible tires currently on the truck. Every review of them pretty much says the same thing. Good all around tire for a daily driver with decent off road performance. http://www.fourwheeler.com/product-reviews/1402-cooper-discoverer-st-maxx-review-quality-time/
xjrev10
Guy in my club ran them on his TJ. He wrecked a tire in Moab and bought a set of these out there. He liked them out there for wheeling, driving home on them and also wheeling here at home. Jeep was a DD/wheeler.
jmderyke
We run them on our forest service utility rigs. They do fairly well, as a AT tire. They get better grip than the bfg at and last about the same maybe a little longer. Mud clears from them, fairly well and grip in snow. For a while we had the goodyear wrangler duratrac tires, I can't say enough bad things about those tires.....we don't use them anymore. Anyway back to the maxx tires.. They do hold more rocks and send them flying at highway speeds. They have a good rubber compound that seems to last. I used to be a bfg at guy, but there quality has changed and I wanted more grip. I'm running the discoverer stt on my Comanche and will be as long as they make them. For how aggressive they are they are lasting very well. I'd say do it! 87Warrior
I have been following the MAXX for a couple of years now as I was intrigued by their design. My TJ is due for tires now that I have racked up 48k miles on a 35" Cooper STT. Quite impressive for a MT if you ask me. While I have no complaints about the tire, I am going to give the MAXX a try based on the online discussions I have followed. I think they will suit me just fine. Pete M
yeah, stone retention seem to be the only complaint I've been able to find.
