JeepsOLot Posted March 14, 2015 Author Share Posted March 14, 2015 Yeah, the AX15 you have to be careful. I actually run 10W30 synthetic oil in my AX15 in my '92 CJ9 for years. My friend did some snooping around, and he found that the Mopar spec oil for the AX15 was basically 10W30 motor oil. Another thing about regular gear oil in an AX15 is they are too heavy, and it doesn't shift as smooth, especially in cold weather. Jerry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
