mik666 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 first question for me!! hey all - while putting in new injectors i snapped this line and need to replace it (i presssed the broken part out of the rubber block and inserted the broken end kinda into it) - also i noticed there is a hole in the rubber block above this line - does something go there? thanks! mike
Jeep Driver Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 MAP sensor and it is important. You can use brake line to make a new one. The hole above is likely a plug for another vacuum line that does not apply to yours.
mik666 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 awesome thx - i take it is is no longer available?!?
Jeep Driver Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 NAPA sells the entire vacuum harness for $40 IIRC
big66440 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 That's one clean engine bay! :agree:
rustybottoms88 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I broke the same line when changing my injectors. I used a piece of rubber Vac line to splice the pastic line back together for a quick fix. And yes that is clean looking engine bay.
ParadiseMJ Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 The extra hole in the throttle body is just a keeper, to hole the vac line, there's no extra option.
mik666 Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 thx gang - like rustyb said i just baough some vacuum line and spliced it in - runs great thx on engine bay - but i can't take the credit - guy i bought it from was anal rentative about it (even more than me)
