Sp0okyone Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Just wanted to show off a bit. 1992 Elliminator 4.0L 5spd Manual 4x4 I plan on putting a 3in lift on him very soon ( brand recommendations?? anyone?) Brush guard 31's New tonneau
dustyinthedirt Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Nice MJ! I happened to be watching Smokey and the Bandit when i read the title of this post. Also i am running a 3'' lift on mine with Great results. A set of 31'' tires look real good under neath it as well.
Sp0okyone Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 I have a set on my 87 Chief. Any brand recommendations for lift kit?I am looking into BDS and RC. Trying to keep it under 650. I have an 88 Trans am named Smokey. lol
Jargon Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Very nice! Love the clean interior! Seems like the consensus in both the XJ and MJ community is that Rough Country lifts are only a decent product, but maybe good for the money, especially if you're not going to be doing much off-roading. I can't really speak from experience though. http://comancheclub.com/topic/46152-what-lift-to-get/
87shortbed comanche Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 both lifts you mentioned are good lifts. It depends on what you want to do with the jeep, offroading or just street driving. I have had experience with rubicon express and clayton lifts they are a little more money.
BlackBeast Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Rubicon is nice but $$$ or you can mix it up and make your own .
Sp0okyone Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 I plan to do light offroading and mostly street. I don't want to go very high to avoid making to many changes to the stock setup. I want to keep him mostly original. So no swapping or re-gearing.
BlackBeast Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Old man emu ..if I was wanting a little with a nice all around drive.
outlaw star Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Nice Mj. Here's the Rusty's 3" kit on mine with 31's (2wd) to give you a rough idea of the lift.
rangell Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Nice Mj. Here's the Rusty's 3" kit on mine with 31's (2wd) to give you a rough idea of the lift. That looks good.

Sp0okyone Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 Thank you for that!! I do like it, but maybe 4.5in is more the stance I'm looking for after seeing a 3in.
