mnkyboy
Is his a Rough country? Some of the other brands are much more expensive so it could have cost him much more then $50.
mnkyboy
And to answer the question , Yes I have one on my 2.5l.

AeroNautical
Hmm, I'd heard spacers don't do enough to make a difference in performance. Is that wrong? If so, I think a spacer would compliment my bored TB nicely.
WiscoXJ
I do not believe in them. There's something to be said for the available amount of stored air, which basically what this tries to increase. Its most affective in in boosted applications but at that point its better to just upgrade the manifold. I wouldn't waste your money
mnkyboy
There is an old thread out in cyberspace with lots of info and several dyno runs showing the increase on a 2.5l with various mods, the spacer being one of them. The thread I think is still up but the dyno pics don't display anymore, still interesting to read. If I remember right the spacer alone added like 2hp by itself but used with other mods it did make a decent difference.
Mattwheels
Also depending if you're tbi or mpi, tbi should in theory have a small gain, mpi will have zero gains

ParadiseMJ
The article is really interesting. Looks like the best bang for the buck is a cat back But in regard to your OP...depending on where you are in the valley, there is an AEM spacer for $20 on Chico CL. I have heard they whistle, but since I don't have one I can't say. There was an ebay ad running for a year or so with a Renix era TBS...but his site got shut down...by ebay. He was claiming 10-15% gain. I've yet to see a Renix TBS since.
