Knucklehead97
I've got this body damage right on my rear flare. Its from the previous owner. Do yall think this is fixable or will I have to cut and weld a new panel one day? I've got a "new" flare that I want to put on but the damage probably will prevent it from mounting correctly. don't want it perfect yet, just want to be able to mount the flare. Thanks. Jeep Driver
Good used fender is about $25 at the PnP.
Knucklehead97
Chance of finding a good used fender around here is little to none. I also currently can't weld. Probably will have some fun with a rubber hammer sometime, if thats whats recommended to do in order to halfway fix it.
Jeep Driver
Body shop would not cut and weld anyway. As you say, it's hammer time.
MuddFoot
hammer it out as much as you can get it close. sand down to metal. clean then skim coat with body filler. sand fill some more sand till it looks right. prime it paint it done
Knucklehead97
I'll try and beat out that big dent to mount the flare sometime. Save the rest for later this year when I hopefully start painting. Thanks guys :D
Verrochi
Easy fix! Hammer and dollie until its straight, then a coat of filler, then prime it and paint the one side of the bed. Problem is going to be matching the old paint.
Eagle
If there's an automotive paint store near you and the truck is driving, take it to the paint store. They can match the paint by scanning it with some kind or magic meter thingie. They can also make up aerosol can's with the custom color if you don't want to mess with compressors and spray guns. Knucklehead97
I didn't know they could make Aerosal cans with the certain paint code. I'm planning on painting the entire truck a different color eventually but its so cold here right now that I can't. But then again the truck isn't driving yet so I have to wait either way. I just want to get this massive box of flares out of my room :D
