88whitemanche Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 What's up fellas I'm going to be doing the amc 20 swap soon just gathering parts before I swap it in.... What size ubolts do I use? Same as the dana 44? 3"? Also, Do I need new e-brake cables?
HOrnbrod Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 According to the factory parts manual, the u-bolts for the AMC20 are the same as the D44 or D35.
Jeep Driver Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 3x7x9/16 you can find them at American Trailer Supply for $40 with deep nuts and heavy washers, grade 8 rated at 7600lbs.

HOrnbrod Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 AMC20 axle tubes are 2-1/2" dia., so you'll need 2-3/4" inside width u-bolts, not 3".
