DirtyComanche Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Apparently some people keep diesel in red cans. And the generator was dry out (had emptied it last fall) so I just started pouring away... I was thinking 'funny, 'tis pink. Is this marked gas?" Then I started to think. And sure enough, it wasn't gonna start on that. I fulled the fuel lines and flushed it all as best I could using gas (the regular yellow stuff). There's some residual diesel in everything.... Think it'll cause me any grief? It's a 4-stroke...
86FUBAR Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 as long as u got the majority of it out u should be ok . it might run a little rough at first but i don't forsee any real problem in the long run
JeepcoMJ Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 brings me back to the days when i took a leek in a friend's diesel tank. alcohol was involved, as was much cussing in the AM when his car wouldn't start and we couldn't figure why...until i was politely reminded by his MOM. gotta love drinkin in the boonies...it's a family ordeal ;)
DirtyComanche Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 Okay, good, I was a little worried. The generator is worth more than my jeep... Actually, both of my jeeps.
