comanche-man22 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 what would be the best catalog or website to find parts for mj's?
summerinmaine Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I just ordered a heater valve and hood release for my 1987 MJ from AutoPartsWarehouse.com on Wednesday at @11:00. The valve showed up on Thursday afternoon. The hood release on Friday. Total order was >$50 (but the parts were half the price from the dealer), and so shipping was free. I'm pretty satisfied. :D
comanche-man22 Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 alright cool i'll check it out, and uhh what about getting cheap windsheild?
Pete M Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 In my opinion windshields should be installed by a pro. They are a major pain to remove/install and leaks can go unnoticed until they've soaked the floor under the carpet.
dakal Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 just had a new windshield installed. i paid $75.00 & insurance paid $267.00 8)
pingpong Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I don't know where you live, but a year ago I had a windshield replaced on my rig, and it was 175 out the door not using my insurance
feerocknok Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Yeah, $186 in February. They came to my house and installed it.
Tracker Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 $170 last summer for a Ford Expedition. This was done by a mobile guy, in my driveway. The dealer wanted $475 and two days at their shop.

comanche-man22 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 no not yet, and if it won't work then it will stay there!!! but i just don't have any money and don't want to overpay, you know what I'm sayin. and if a new one is the way to go then a new one is what it will be!
87manche Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 most glass places won't remove glass for reuse and make any guarantees. It usually get's broken trying to remove it.
comanche-man22 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 well that is a bummer but thanx for the tip :D
