Jeep Driver
On the passenger side there is a rod that bolts to the trans at the lowest point and runs to a bracket near the TC cover. I see no need for it and want to discard it. Any problems you guys can see by doing so? If you need a pic, I'll post one. Thanks
jimoshel
It helps take some of the strain off the bell housing. with the engine supports in the middle of the engine, or the very front, and the transmission support being to the rear, puts a strain on the bell housing flange. yxmj
I will post for you This was one of my first posts and questions on CC ......when I bought mine the trans was off and after putting everything together i had the rod left over i posted the pic and asked the location.....and was answered actually by Mr. Oshel. To answer your question I ran without it and with it.....no noticeable difference.

yxmj
That would be the title if you got the answer wrong..... I know what you mean though.... I do not like being called Mr. or Sir.......maybe because it is usually followed by "step out of the vehicle and keep your hands were I can see them......." . :MJ 1: . jimoshel
I always liked the response, especially while in the service, "Don't call me sir. I work for a living."
Eagle
I always liked the response, especially while in the service, "Don't call me sir. I work for a living." Some occifers of my acquaintance didn't seem to find that nearly as amusing as we enlisted types.
