54bobby
hey guys, when i go into a low speed turn, like pulling out of a driveway, the steering feels like it wants to turn further than i want it to then it backs off. it's like a back and forth feeling. in the past year i have put on new ti rods, track bar, steering stabilizer, and sway bar links. any ideas?? HOrnbrod
Yep, sounds like your caster is AFU (too negative).
54bobby
had it aligned when i installed the suspension parts. hit no large holes or curbs. could it be out already?
Jeep Driver
Don't assume that new parts are good parts. Check your track bar again. I have my fifth one in 2 years now.
HOrnbrod
Got an angle finder? Stick it on top of the L & R upper ball joints and check your caster while sitting on level ground.
banshee
What's the caster supposed to be??
Minuit
Factory spec is +7.5 deg. The FSM states that acceptable range is between +7 deg. and +8 deg. Keep in mind that these are for stock trucks.
