Iron Jacket
This might seem a bit petty, but the turn signal in my '87 doesn't click very loud. The only way to hear it clicking is with the truck off and my head under the steering column. I tend to accidentally leave them on, which isn't very good. If there is some way to fix this, that would be cool. If not, I can live with it.
gogmorgo
If you swap in another flasher relay, you might get a louder one. If your hazard lights click louder, you can just swap the flasher for the hazards with the one for the turn signals.

ParadiseMJ
I have a HD flasher that I put in for towing load. I didn't do it because it was too quiet but it's a positive side effect. It's louder than the stock one I took out. I can hear it when driving, and I can't hear at all out of my left ear.
johnnyc
You can get a louder one at any parts store. But what I did was install LED bulbs in my gauge cluster, including the ones for the turn indicators. They are really bright, even in the daytime. So if you leave them on, they definitely catch your attention.

Tactical Bacon
PN LF12 at AAP. Made by Triton (Novita Tech), supposed to be the loudest flasher you can get (if you believe their packaging).
