mjben Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Slow day at work... Browsing the web I came across this: http://www.autobidmaster.com/carfinder-online-auto-auctions/lot/10493800/COPART_1988_JEEP_COMANCHE_E_CERTIFICATE_OF_DESTRUCTION_TAMPA_SOUTH_FL/ Poor truck... But interesting! Anyone ever seen a cluster like this? Or those seats? Opinions?
88whitemanche Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Dude even though the truck got trashed the truck itself was in awesome shape!!! Edit: pretty sure it's all custom
mjben Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I'd agree with the custom thing... More curious where it all came from! The mini truck days sure brought to light some interesting ideas!
yellaheep Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Sure would like to have been able to buy this thing...... Wonder if the buyer intends to part it out or is another MJ enthusiast? That front air dam and gauge cluster could end up on ebay...... Edit: I just called CoPart, the place that auctioned the MJ and asked if they would pass on my contact info to the buyer........ big fat nope. Dang it.
Guest Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Looks like a Dakota Digital dash setup. And no, not the Chrysler company either. These things can be made to fit any style of cluster, with any designated setup (with or without tach, etc etc). Here's one in a J10 for example. Pretty neat if you can't get replacement cluster parts.
Keyav8r Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I would have bid on it for the front air dam, rear bumper and pan, buckets, console and cluster. And any thing else salvageable. Looked like a tilt column. But, that's exactly what I DON'T need - another project. Would have been cool (sick, radical, awesome, slick, killer, bitchin - choose one or in insert your own word), though.
