Jeep Driver
I don't guess they are replaceable? I just checked and complete shafts range from Crown $120 to Mopar at $285. PnP? Any advise or upgrade years from WJ or ZJ or GMs? Got a pop now......just one more thing to drive me nuts about.

The joint at the steering box end it's totally hosed. I'll be looking for an answer as well...
dasbulliwagen
There was an extra one of these in my truck when I bought it. I've never really known why but I've also never heard of this being an issue. One more thing to keep an eye on I guess.
mnkyboy
Mine were severely worn out when I got my MJ, I pulled a goodshaft off an XJ at the junk yard. FYI for anyone it applies to. The shafts are different between manual and powersteering but will interchange. The power one has a rubber damper built into it that the manual one doesn't have.
