ownedueasy
yes i can measure mine but is it the same from 2x4 to 4x4 on the rear?
jimoshel
No. The 4wd will be much shorter. There's a transfer case between the the back end of the tranny and the rear axle.
Jeep Driver
What parts do you have? I assume you have a 4.11 rear? Where are you looking for the D30? How did you come about what you have and not the front axle? You have the tube-in-tube rear DS, unless you find a shop that will shorten yours, you'll need to have one made. 91Pioneer
FYI it's called 4x2, not 2x4. 2x4 means you're talking about lumber LOL
jimoshel
Don't laugh. Grandad made a drive shaft for his '20's something International. using a Walnut 4X4. It was back during the war when parts were hard to come by and for a Missouri dirt farmer a dollar was even harder.
Incommando
There is a drive shaft length chart stickied on here somewhere. it will change depending on your rear axle as the pinion lengths on the diffs change. EDIT: Gotz it: http://comancheclub.com/topic/18925-looking-for-driveshaft-lengths-of-stock-trucks/ A lot of info in the DIY projects section
