JohnQ Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Anyone know what axels and manual tranny are in a 1995 dodge 4x4 V10 1 ton 3500 dually?
bwatsoncj Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 being a 3500, you didn't mention if it was a dually. but i've seen up to a dana 80 w/ single rear wheels. best bet is to get the b.o.m. off a tag or the axle tube. b.o.m. stands for bill of material, and w/ it i can identify it, tell you what ratio it has, or if it has a posi. if does not have a tag, you can look to the right of the center section of the tube. stamped lightly on the tube will be the #, the numbers are also small. it usually is a 6 digit number followed by a space w/ another number single or two digits. example 606732 3 or 603598 12 sometimes grime can cover it up or rust use brake clean and a wire brush, or some 150 sandpaper.
DirtyComanche Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I can tell you the front is a LP D60 with a Cad setup and unitized hubs. Wait, 95? Maybe not.
pingpong Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Hold on.. I just got the new differentials book by Randys :D on page 103 it says with the v-10 it should be a dana 80 rear if it is equipped with a manual trans the front should be a passenger side offset, with standard rotation 35 spline inners with 32 spline outers using a unit bearing (page 78-79)
Bonkers Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 The V10s came with bith 5spds and 6spds. I've been hunting for a 6spd (rarer) which are NV4550. I don't know about the axles.
yj2mj Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 the front should be a passenger side offset, with standard rotation 35 spline inners with 32 spline outers using a unit bearing (page 78-79) Driver's drop, not pass.
