collkid
I was going to say, just re-wire them in. That's what I have been doing to a good amount of things in my MJ, saves time and money to just simply run a new wire an label it.
rudycoop
Just trash all those old wires and find that donor! That little 4 banger in there always cracks me up. I like that your rear bumper is in tact and not all banged up like mine. Everyone I ever see is basically trashed. Going to be a great project. AirborneDeth
The donor needs to be acquired pronto. I missed out on a good one last week. He sold it ten minutes after he posted it on CL. I did pull the carpet today. I knew I had rust in the floor boards, but wasn't prepared for the extent that it has affected. I will need new floor pans, and half way up the tunnel on the drivers side. I will be cutting out the rot and addressing whats left. After the floors are fixed, I will be raptor lining the whole cab, to include the roof since I don't have a headliner at all. That also will be addressed with the donor, among many other things. AeroNautical
Oh my, I just dealt with holes in my floor I thought were big, but that... Was nice having a john in my MJ, though. Just pull up the floor mat and fire away.

AirborneDeth
At least I know they will be good to go after I am done. I am not going to do premade floor pans. I'm just going to use 3/16" steel and heat and beat the crap out of it to fit. I will also POR15 and Raptor Line it. I will also make some drain holes for future use. They may come in handy. AirborneDeth
I haven't done anything lately, other than score some SOA lift parts for a steal today. I guess I will be going SOA. I would be driving it, but the darn lights still don't work. I am still searching for a donor...but it will be a while thanks to Christmas, unless someone has one they will give me.......(crickets).......(crickets).......I didn't think so. AirborneDeth
I have a question to those that have done the '97 and up conversion. My Comanche's wiring harness is shot, to include the fuse block. When I do the conversion, will I just convert all wiring and the fuse block? I am electrically challenged, so i need everything to be pretty much plug and play, and have my fingers crossed it will be that easy. also, would it be feasible to cut out the floor from the donor and weld it in...or just patch what I have? 87Warrior
The only 'wiring' that will be required for the 97+ swap is adapting the the bed harness (fuel pump/tail lights) to the XJ cab harness. There are several ways to go about it, but I think Alexia did a clean job. You could plan to use the donor XJ as a source for floor patch panels. However, you will probably find the donor has rust issues as well. The XJ floor will be nearly a direct fit for the front 1/2 of the cab.
