cz777 Posted November 2, 2013 Share Posted November 2, 2013 i have a 2.5 liter which has two burnt valves on #2 and #3 yes the it past the oil test ...this most involved engine repair to be done on the MJ so far ...one very tough engine ! i have seen many engines fail in worst will less mileage ! rebuilt head is sitting on the bench ....of me own this mj since 2006 i have put 135,000 mile on her and spent with tires less than 3000 ...less fuel ....its so far the cheapest ride i ever owned ..... cz777 Posted November 7, 2013 Author Share Posted November 7, 2013 it got better did the com test 2 times before pulling the head last week end ....talk about make me a fool ,i have many crazy things cars etc will do ,which will make you look like fool no matter what you think is real ! the bridge of the head gasket between 2/3 acted like a reed valve - blown but still working and burnt valves as well ...plug was installed to see if a blown gasket at fault on the other side getting com test ! talk about a tough engine !! she is running again happy !
