Keyav8r
Searched but couldn't find information on stock ride height or how to measure it. I've seen it in the past but can't find it now. Is there a way to mark or pin posts/threads to my account to make them easier to locate?

HOrnbrod
Fred, most info like this I try to sticky in the DIY forum for quick reference. I like onlyinajeep726's post better though because of the pics, so I'll sticky that in the DIY forum too. http://comancheclub.com/topic/11098-how-to-measure-ride-hight/
onlyinajeep726
Thanks Don. However, I can not take credit for the picture as I did not create it. Whenever I find useful diagrams and .pdfs on the web, I save them on my laptop. It's nice to pull them out when another member needs help. But thank you for making it a sticky for all others to use. Keyav8r
Thanks, Don and onlyinajeep726. I think "measure" is probably the only word I didn't use in my search, even though I used it in my post - Duh! I notice Eagle's post has different measurements for 2WD and 4WD and the rear measurements are a larger. I'll try to remember to check the stickies first in the future. Eagle
Mine come from Jeep tech bulletin I.S. 14E, which is Comanche specific. Considering that the information for the front is the same but the rear is different, I wonder if the above measurements might be for the XJ. According to the factory bulletin, the measurement for the front should be 17 cm (6-3/4 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch) for two-wheel drive vehicles. For four-wheel drive, it should be 20 cm (7-3/4 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch). Here's what's different: For the rear, on two-wheel drive vehicles the vertical distance should be 21 cm (8.2 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch). On four-wheel drive vehicles, the vertical distance should be 23 cm (9.2 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch).
