mdwatson
Trying to find a diagram for the complete vac lines for a stock 86 2.5L with no a/c. I'm having problems figuring out the lines that go in/out the fire wall. Vents are stuck on defrost only and I have no vacuum going to the ball canister at front bumper. Pretty sure my problem is the vac line going into firewall isn't hooked up correctly.
Keyav8r
You may have a broken or disconnected vac line behind the dash. With the engine running, stick your head into the passenger footwell, move the selector on the heater controls and listen for a hiss. If you hear anything You can use a piece of vacuum hose as a stethoscope to locate it.
carnuck
If no vacuum gets to the ball, none gets to the heater controls either!
mdwatson
Think I might have it hooked up correctly now. Have vacuum to the ball now but the vents still aren't working. I assume I have a problem under the dash too.

Ball is in the passenger side front bumpeer and has a line running to it from the intake manifold and the other provides vacuum to the black line to the heater control. I just move the ball to the engine compartment.
