Ios 7 Users Your Phone Tracks You...

iOS 7 does track where you go and SENDS the data to Apple. I'm not here to debate if its really to "help you know how long it takes to get home" or not. But the fact of the matter is it does track you and where you go. But I just figured some of you would like to know it does that how to turn it off. I found it last night and turned it off and my phone is at 63% right now...much better than yesterday. Anyway to turn it off, go into your settings, privacy, location services, system services and then frequent locations and you can turn it off.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I'll have to turn this off and see about the battery use. Since updating my old 4s the battery sucks. Probably going to sell it since I only use it as an ipod, but been screwing around with ios 7 just for fun and since I'm a techno junky.

For what it's worth, can't say I care about the tracking one way or another since my Note 2 does the same thing. I just wish added features like this wouldn't cut into the battery. They need to get over their paper thin obsession and add a bit of battery back IMO.

I am going to add wireless chargers in my car and house eventually... at least then all I will need to do is set my Nokia Lumina 920 on the charger and it gets its charge without needing to fumble around with the wires and case.  I just completely turned of my location services.  I haven't needed them lately and it saves a good bit of battery.

I also use my 4s as a iPod, I still hang on to it because it has some banking apps and some stuff oft work on it.  The batteries aren't hard to change, just buy a cheap tool kit and battery from amazon.  It might cost less than $15.  The battery for dads iPhone was $8 a year ago.

Eh, I'm just paranoid. Though I do agree about the battery life.

If someone thinks their smart phone will stop tracking you because you unclicked an option best not have a smart phone. So many ways to track you, be it GPS, signal triangulation... If you don't want to be tracked, leave it at home. Fingerprint scanners, phones that listen to you for commands on a constant basis, face recognition... It's a brain in your pocket.
