phenryiv1 Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 The inserts into which the headlight adjustors are inserted have cracked and my MJ has a case of droopy-eyes. No amount of adjustment works, as the threaded adjustors simply slip out of the inserts. Dealership replacements are NLA and they did not give me a part number. Is there a source for replacement adjustor parts? Or any acceptable substitute? I bought several universal insert packs but none of them were even close to fitting that particular location. phenryiv1 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Share Posted July 22, 2013 Any Jeep/Chrysler/etc. vehicles newer than the 2001 XJ that has the same inserts? 12+ years is pretty old for injection-molded abs plastic. If there is anything newer with the same inserts I might try starting there. And for that matter, are the 97+ inserts the same as the 84-96? The only problem that I found with it is that it clips perfectly in only a couple of the spots, but not all of them. That could also be an issue with my cheap eBay header panel.
