92tanMJ
Pictures might help some. Are the coils seated in the bottom with the clips on? The LCA's should just push the axle out forward, centering it in the wheel wells.
chappy88
love to show some pics, but I can't upload anything to this site....any idea why?
mvusse
To post picture you have to upload them somewhere else, like photobucket or flickr, then link to them here.
Pete M
yup, you'll need to host the photos at any number of free sites out there and then bring the new addresses here. See this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/37727-how-to-post-pictures/
mvusse
If the axle is not centered side to side that is because with 4.5" lift you will need an aftermarket longer (or adjustable) track bar. Not centered front to back would be because you need longer (adjustable) lower control arms, but doing that without the uppers will change the caster angle, and at the same time the pinion angle of the front axle. To fix that you will need longer (adjustable) upper control arms. Correctly lifting a 4 link coil spring suspension more than a 1"-2" "budget boost" is not cheap. Pete M
and most "kits" don't seem to be complete. :(
chappy88
why would rough country sell a mj specific kit without all of the proper components? I'm working on the pics hopefully they will help?
mvusse
Because it's RC. The cheap kits are cheap because they are not complete.

mvusse
The axle is tilted back too far due to longer lower control arms, but still stock upper control arms. Plus your lower control arms are too long. as the axle travels up it shifts too far forwards. So you need shorter (adjustable) lower control arms than you currently have, and you need aftermarket adjustable upper control arms.
chappy88
I just measure the new control arms and they are 1/2 longer than the old. I'm thinking there not long enough to put the axle back forward rotating to to center it with the bumper jounces. That being said the uppers would need to be longer as well....just like you said, something is missing!

Other than the axle being a few inches closer to the finders my springs don't do that. Cycle the suspension and see what happens
chappy88
Sorry , but what do you mean by "cycle" The track bar and sway bar to the links arent connected yet, they would'nt have anythig to do with allignment would they? I notified Rough country and am waiting for there reply. I've searched lots of reveiws on this lift and most are possitive plug and play without any headaches. I'm starting to get one! 92tanMJ
Well first off before you worry about stuff lining up right put the track bar on, and then put it on the ground, then see how it looks. And by cycle I mean put the left tire on the ground then just up the right side till its at full flex. (and vise versa)
