Not yet,At the tank for the pump I'm guessing?

My 88 4.0 would'nt start just cranks. Pulled the plug to the fuel pump at the tank for a voltage check, turned the starter and it fired. Plugged it back in and ran fine. Coincidence? Had to do same thing to get it running the 2nd time. Anyone

sorry front axle

Anyone know if 92xj (auto tranny, same engine) front end would work on my 88mj (manual) or know where I could find out for sure?
-
My 88 mj has no tach and dummie lights, how much work would it be to install a cluster with tach and guages from an 91 xj, or is it possible at all?

Has anyone removed these cap successfully without damage? You know the cap braces on top of the mj floor which make it hard to keep your feet flat! Mine are in decent shape and would like an idea or 2 to get started, so I can replace the floor TIA https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XRnlnO5-lkI/U3QPH0_JKEI/AAAAAAAAABk/O1DR2pz1w34/w1153-h865-no/P1030887.JPG

I have already put the 91 Cherokee 4x4 drive train in the 88MJ and added 4.5 rough Country kit without 2 many hassles. The kit came with the spacers to drop the cross member 1.5" ....and the installation manual backs it up. You guys are talking Wanglers and Newer model TJ's . Are you guys speaking from experience with XJ's and MJ's? -

chappy88 replied to chappy88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's exactly what we are doing as well...added a 4.5 rough country to our 2x4 mj with xj donor 4x4. The cross member doesn't line up , but a fab buddy of mine has an idea. we have to drop the cross member 1.5" anyway, so instead of using the provided nylon spacers, he is going to fabricate the !.5" drop and add a skid plate using the existing attachments in the frame and cross member. -

The mj has 2 extra brackets on the inside of the frame to accommodate 4 extra bolts. I found 2 plugged holes on these brackets and looks like I may get 2 bolts on each side, but not in the frame like the xj. -

not flipped, will only bolt on 1 way to tranny, besides the exhaust hanger is the same on both, passenger side. The bolts are out an inch from factory frame holes. -
we are converting 88 mj BA-10 2wd to 4wd , donor 91 xj AX-15/231 TC. Both 4litre engines. Everything lined up until we got to the crossmember. It doesnt line up with factory frame bolt holes on my 88 mj? Any insight would be appreciated!
