ncm1 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Anybody experienced no start after sitting for a few days? This has now happened four times over the past few months. Any time the truck sits for more than a couple days it does not want to start. It is my daily driver/work vehicle, so usually I'm driving it every day. It will stumble and burp a few times, that's it. Then if I leave it alone and try to start it again after several hours, it will start up and run fine. Kinda acts like it's flooded. Feel like it's a fuel issue, as I know it's getting fire. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's an 89 2.5.
Geonovast Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Sediment in the tank? Try changing out the fuel filter.
ncm1 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 I have done a recent fuel filter change, but it's been a while on the tune-up. Could that cause intermittent trouble? It runs well the rest of the time.
ftpiercecracker1 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If you can't remember the last time you did a tune up, its over due. ;)
