Biotex Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I keep getting a contant clunking noise from behind my head when I hit bumps. I have a sliding rear window, and if I open it up and pull inwards on the frame, the noise seems to go away. I let go it starts back up. Anyone else?
Dirteatr717 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Try wiggling the window frame or window when you're not driving to see if it's moving at all? Just turn the music up louder :D
TheDirtyJeep401 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 :yeah that: I use to turn my music up loud for that reason, mine was just the plastic panel underneath the rear window rattled like no other.
Howley Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Mostly when cold outside air temp. Did this on both my '88 and my '91 but not so much on the '91. Tried runnig a set of screws in the rear plastic panel to keep it quiet with not much success. Not as much a problem in the summer when warm out.
Harley Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Let your wife ride in the front seat. She'll probably complain less and the "banging behind your head" will more than likely go away.
Keyav8r Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Might be the slider moving vertically with the bump.
ParadiseMJ Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I had this, but my cousin and his GF finally moved out!! She was a screamer too!
cz777 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Might be the slider moving vertically with the bump. guide plates wore out ? look at frame rails and sliding glass parts ...... no its the zombies trying to get inside ....
Keyav8r Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I was kinda thinking zombies but figured if they haven't gotten to him yet, why make him worry about them!
