Knucklehead97 Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Well after a good year of trouble from my brothers lifted XJ's front end. I have finally gotten it running great. Had to replace all the bushings and ball joints but now even with unbalanced bald tires it runs up to 80 with no problem! Hes getting new tires soon and it'll be perfect. Now to get my trucks wobble fixed and my whole fam will have great running Jeeps :D just thought i would share with you guys!

MancheKid86 Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 The 100% fix seems to be all new steering and front end bushing and new tires xD but thanks bro! sure is the fix, rode with D/W for 1 year, had it since the maiden run so i masked it with a steering stabilizer, just replaced all the components a month or two ago, bushings on axle, bushings on control arms, new hardware with 0.00 tolerance gap for bushing sleeves new steering linkages and front axle, and new tires, and rebuild my bds superflex track bar ( which was the problem, p/o left the trackbar loose which when a few thousand pounds behind it is stationary couldnt tell) rollls SMOOOOTH, not to mention i don't have any sway bars and its still like butter

Geonovast Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 My XJ was having some nice shaking problems, turned into DW once on the highway. Was blaming tire balance, but it went away when I replaced the shot U-joint.
Knucklehead97 Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 U-joints were about the only thing we didnt have to replace on his. But during the ball joint replacement we had them checked and they were fine. I'm going to eventually be changing out all my front end bushings and joints, but id love if the tires got it fixed long enough to save up the money beforehand. We actually bought my brothers truck with the lift and tires already on it, and still don't know exactly how much lift or even what lift is under it. It seems to be mostly rusty's though, i live not far from RO's warehouse.
Knucklehead97 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Just got my new front tires. No wobble with me either now! At about 65 i get a great mud terrain roar! The matching set looks great and i couldnt be happier.
