Here is the latest addition to the MJ. I just finished the front Bumper. I made it out of 4"x6" 1/8" rectangular tubing. I am planning on a rear Bumper and rocker protection as well, you can see in the first few pics the metal for that. My digital camera is old, some of the pics are not that good.

That is EXACTLY what I want to build for my MJ....clean, simple, strong, and with a winch tray that I will hopefully someday have the $$ to buy a winch to put on.

Got any shots of how you tied it into the framerails? ;)

(and Pat......if you're watching, ^^^^^that's what I'm looking to do^^^^^)

Nice work!

(p.s. don't take my saying "simple" the wrong way....I don't mean it like that  )

Not taken the wrong way. That is what I was going for. A bumper that was simple, fairly easy to build and strong. Time was a big factor, having two kids takes up most of that!

mjeff that would look pretty BA on your mj.

warf, how much did it cost in materials, and how long did it take?

i'd like to see the framerails pics too if you have them...

I will have to take some pics of how I attached to the frame. I will try to get those in the next couple of days and post them.

No plans for air. I already have an air tank mounted in the bed.

I have about $45.00 in the front bumper and that includes the metal which was just a straight peice of rectangular tubing that I bought. That also includes sand paper, bondo, primer and paint. I have about 10 hours in time building it.
